STARFALL Launch Blitz and Giveaway!!

I am bringing you guys another blitz from Melissa Landers! Tuesday her newest novel Starfall hit shelves! Yay! I'm very excited for the conclusion to this duology and I hope you guys are as well.
And now... A message from Melissa: Hi, booklovers! I’m author Melissa Landers, and I’m so excited to launch STARFALL, the second and final book in my Starflight duology! This story picks up shortly after the first book ends, but now Cassia and Kane are the main characters, with Doran, Solara, and the rest of the Banshee crew pitching in to help take down an intergalactic mafia. (You know, just an ordinary day in space.) And while saying goodbye to characters is never easy, I think I gave the crew a proper sendoff with plenty of humor, heart, and action. I hope you love STARFALL as much as I do! Haven’t read the first book? You’re in luck, because for a limited time, Starflight is on sale for 99 cents in all e-formats. Now you can binge read the entire duology in one sitting!
Praise for Starflight: “Smart, action-packed and utterly addictive!” –New York Times bestselling author Amie Kaufman “Starflight has the cinematic appeal, warp-speed action and unlikely heroes of Star Wars.” –Justine Magazine “A lively tale of romance, space pirates, conspiracy, and made (as opposed to genetic) families.” –Booklist “A great choice for fans of raw sci-fi action, reminiscent of the lawlessness presented in the television series Firefly.” –School Library Journal If you love sci-fi adventure with a dash of romance, I hope you’ll pick up the Starflight duology today. Starflight and Starfall are both available in stores and online.

Soulshifter by Barbara Pietron

 Soulshifter by Barbara Pietron
Genre: Young Adult
Publication: November 24th, 2015

Sixteen-year-old Jack Ironwood knew exactly what he wanted. Until he got it. Jack was content to stay unnoticed by pretty and popular track-star, Natalie Segetich, until he overhears her claim that something took her friend Emma. As a soulshifter who can cross into the underworld, Jack knows the human stealing Enuuk- hell's messengers-are real and that a successful rescue mission would secure a future otherwise out of his reach. Working together, Jack and Natalie devise a plan to outwit the ruler of the underworld. Then on the eve of the quest, as Jack stands on the verge of seeing his dreams come true, he realizes he's no longer sure what he wants. But it's too late to back out. Pursued by the dark lord's henchmen and ghastly mutant creatures, Jack and Natalie struggle to come out ahead of a battle and barter for souls. In the end Jack will have to decide his own fate, because nothing short of a deal with the devil will get all three of them out of hell alive.

Purchase:

For fans of Alyson Nöel's Soul Seekers series, Soulshifter is the right book for you! It has spirit-walking which is totally awesome in my opinion. Barbara Pietron delivers a book that is fresh and exciting with a male lead that I absolutely adored. The lore was interesting and different, a new idea that hasn't been done to death. The characters were well developed and I liked the supernatural aspect of it a whole lot. Barbara Pietron had a set up for a really great book. Alright now moving on to what I didn't like about it... The set up was a little too drawn out, it took about 100 pages to set up the actual rescue of Emma then another 100 pages to actually save her. I would have preferred to see more of the Underworld, since it seemed to be a different type of Underworld. I mean one ruled by a king that steals innocent souls? Yes please! More info would have been great. Because of this I can only give this story 4 stars. It was good, but it could have been so much better. The ending... I mean the ending was great so I'm hoping there's a follow-up story to tie that up. One can only hope! Until next time happy thanksgiving everyone!!

Unprepared for the level of deception and betrayal she faces as she journeys Upwards to battle her enemies, it's not long before Rachel finds herself on a quest that will alter the lives of everyone she knows.

Including Rachel's...

Initiation by Rebecca Royce is the first book in The Warrior series, a new five book series!  I signed up to review this book, and wow! So happy I did! It's a new spin on old ideas, with twists in the plot that I just loved. The book follows Rachel Clancy through tests that will determine if she's fit to kill vampires and werewolves. I seriously enjoyed this book! I've read a few different hunter-esque novels but this one stands a part from all the rest! The plot flows beautifully and the characters are very well developed! Can't wait for the next book in this awesome series! If you haven't already download your copy from amazon!

RELEASE DAY BLITZ!!! Cage of Deceit by Jennifer Anne Davis

HAPPY RELEASE DAY!
Cage of Deceit by Jennifer Anne Davis
Reign of Secrets #1
Young Adult, Fantasy
Publication: August 25th, 2015

Cage of Deceit by Jennifer Anne Davis is the first in the Reign of Secrets trilogy, a spin-off of Jennifer's True Reign series. This book was absolutely amazing and I'm so happy that I was able to be a part of this blog tour! Fans of the Throne of Glass series, Game of Thrones, and any other title of the same genre will love this book as much as I have.

Seventeen-year-old Allyssa appears to be the ideal princess of Emperion- she's beautiful, elegant, and refined. She spends her days locked in a suffocating cage, otherwise known as royal court. But at night, Allyssa uses her secret persona-that of a vigilante-to hunt down criminals and help her people firsthand.

Unfortunately, her nightly escapades will have to wait because the citizens of Emperion may need saving from something much bigger than common criminals. War is encroaching on their country and in order to protect her people, Allyssa may have to sacrifice her heart. Forced to entertain an alliance through marriage with a handsome prince from a neighboring kingdom, she finds herself feeling even more stifled than before. To make matters worse, the prince has stuck his nosy squire, Jarvik, to watch her every move.

Jarvik is infuriating, bossy and unfortunately, the only person she can turn to when she unveils a heinous plot. Together, the unlikely pair will have to work together to stop an enemy that everyone thought was long gone, one with the power to destroy her family and the people of Emperion. Now the cage Allyssa so longed to break free from might just be the one thing she has to fight to keep intact. In order to save her kingdom, she will have to sacrifice her freedom, her heart, and maybe even her life.

An amazing story with a great cast of characters and brilliant plot, Cage of Deceit was everything I hoped for and so much more! The story was full of twists and turns and lots of deceit. The title is very fitting for the story as this is how Allyssa feels and what's going on around her. My favorite character is Jarvik! He's amazing and I love how he can see right through Allyssa. I also love Allyssa! Fans of a strong female heroine will fall in love with this amazingly strong heroine. Heroine is defined as: a woman admired or idealized for her courage, outstanding achievements, or noble qualities. Allyssa is all that and so much more!

I give this book a 5/5! I literally could not put it down and read through it in 2 hours. It was a great read and I can't wait for book two! I want to read book two right now, but alas I'll have to wait until it comes out! Bravo Jennifer Anne Davis for giving readers an amazing new world to love and obsess over!
GIVEAWAY!
I will be giving away ONE (1) copy of Cage of Deceit, all you have to do is win is contact krislenabear@gmail.com with a number between 1 and 10. I will pick the winner on Saturday August 29th!

Happy reading!
